President and Chief Executive Officer

Simon Fredriksson, PhD

Scientific Co-founder of Olink AB and joined the company as Chief Scientific Officer in 2007. Dr. Fredriksson is an inventor of several patents and patent application on solution phase Proximity Ligation. He developed homogenous PLA during his graduate work and has further expanded the technology into a multiplexed protein detection tool for biomarker research. Previously Dr Fredriksson was a staff scientist at Stanford University working on protein based cancer biomarker detection technologies and high throughput genomics tools.

Director Manufacturing

Torbjörn Norberg, PhD

Dr. Norberg have operated and held management positions in the Life Science Industry for over 18 years including companies as Pharmacia Biotech AB, Eurona Medical AB, Alpha Helix AB and EDX Diagnostics SpA. Dr. Norberg has been co-responsible for several start-ups in particular R&D, product development and manufacturing. Dr. Norberg has also experience from diagnostic product development under ISO 90001, ISO 15189:2003 as well as GLP/GCP. In addition, Dr Norberg is a holder of several patents within the areas of molecular diagnostics and pharmacogenomics. Dr. Norberg has published several scientific articles in the area of molecular biology, molecular diagnostics and experimental Oncology. Prior of joining, Olink Dr. Norberg co-founded EDX Diagnostics SpA, an Italian diagnostics company. Dr. Norberg was, among other things, responsible for build-up and acting as head of manufacturing and CE labelling of the company products.

Chief Technology Officer

Mats Gullberg, PhD

Dr Gullberg is one of the co-founders of Olink and he joined the company in 2005 as a senior scientist and was assigned CTO in 2007. Prior to joining Olink Dr. Gullberg worked for 10 years at Uppsala University where he also earned his Ph.D. The focus of his work since 1999 has been proximity ligation, rolling circle amplification and selector technology, all core technologies of Olink.
