Meet the Boston team
We are delighted to welcome scientists to our fee-for-service facility for analysis using Olink panels in Boston, MA. Both the Boston and the Uppsala Analysis Service laboratories provide uniform outstanding quality standards and are full-service laboratories.
Who we are
Jennifer Sawyer leads the Boston Analysis Service team. Jen joined Olink when the Boston location opened in 2016. She has an education and background in molecular biology and has run thousands of Olink assays. Jen believes that the best way to build customer relationships is to deliver quality data, consistently. To support growing demand, she has built a team of scientists to expertly run Olink assays and continue to exceed customer expectations. Jennifer says, “The only way to do great work is to love what you do.”
John Elnagger has a background in Molecular Biology and Biotechnology. He has previously worked in the Biotech/Pharma industry, focusing mainly on proof of concept and drug discovery. John joined Olink’s Boston division in April of 2018 and aids in the logistics and coordination of customer projects.
Jessica Barbagallo has a background and education in molecular biology and biotechnology, with 4 years’ experience in the commercial biotechnology industry. She joined Olink in August 2017 and began by running the assay at Olink facilities. She is now the Data Manager and is responsible for the Quality Control of all data at the Boston Analysis Service facility.
Katie Wu has a background in biochemistry and genetics with over 15 years of experience working with molecular and clinical genetic technologies. She has been a part of Olink since August 2017 and is the CLIA Technical Supervisor and QA for the lab.
Amanda Keegan has recently completed her Master’s of Science in Biology from the University of New England and has experience in molecular biology and academic research. She joined Olink in August 2018 and runs the assays in the Boston Analysis Service laboratory. Amanda says, “What you do makes a difference, and you have to decide what kind of difference you want to make.”
Caitlin Cala earned her Bachelor’s degree in Biology from the University of Massachusetts Amherst. She worked in a psychology and neuroscience lab at UMass and a DNA sequencing lab in the Boston area. She joined Olink in June 2018 and currently runs the assays in the Boston Analysis Service laboratory. Caitlin lives by this quote: “Do not fear failure but rather fear not trying.”
Miranda Williams has a Bachelor’s degree in Neuroscience from Stonehill College with four years of experience in the biotechnology industry. Miranda joined Olink’s Boston Analysis Service laboratory in September of 2018 and runs the assays.
Tyler Fillipone has a Bachelor’s Degree from Keene State College in Health Science and Political Science. Tyler was an intern for Olink in January of 2019, and joined the Analysis team full time in July of 2019. He will be running assays in the Boston Analysis Service laboratory.
